Tank Build for Dungeons Empty

We all know the most important traits for a good tank. Being able to hold aggro and staying alive. This is especially important when teaming in a dungeon. If the tank goes down, it is a guaranteed wipe. When building a tank for the dungeon, you have to keep in mind that the team does not need you to do a lot of damage. Only enough damage to maintain aggro. The build in the link below was shared with me by another tank I met in the game and was designed for use in dungeons. It is good enough for PVP, though its lack of shield stun makes doing PVP a little harder. To date, this is the best tank build for dungeons I have ever used. It maximizes defense and health and provides just enough power to make sure the DPS does not steal aggro at the most critical of times in the game. When used right, this build can allow a tank to last for a long time even without the aid of a healer. So if a healer does go down, you can delay long enough until he gets back from cemetery.

I have shared this build with a lot of different players, and many have questioned why the build was set up this way. Here is a brief description about the "why" behind each talent chosen.

Guardian
1. Fearless - An obvious one. three points increases Courage by three seconds. Absolute must
2. Precision - To hold aggro, the tank needs to land a successful hit. 5 points here ensures all hits are 100% successful
3. Charge - No description needed
4. Staunch - Increases overall Armor Value
5. Vitality Shout - Increases valuable Hit Points for you and the party. Use every five minutes
6. Heavy Clash - The heavy armor points of the tank make this an effective damage attack and helps hold aggro
7. Tough Guy - All 5 points are a must. Every successful Swift Strike makes the target lock for 5 seconds 100% of the time.
8. Sidestep - 3 points for 3% more dodge. Goes a long way
9. Alerting Shout - When used right, this will save a tank and the party
10. Shield Slap - Like Heavy Clash, the high shield value of tank helps with the damage. Most powerful single blow weapon available.
11. Fortitude - More Hit Points. A good thing
12. Calm - The biggest reason why tanks lose aggro is because they don't have high enough morale to maintain Cleave. Calm is a must.
13. Guardian Stance - The most important talent, next to prayer, in the entire game.
14. Resistant Skin - Max out this skill. Lots of spells when fighting bosses.
15. Vigor - Again, max this out. Makes the healers job easier.
16. Counter Stance - A very useful talent. If the tank ever loses aggro, he can pop this skill and the aggressor comes charging back.
On the cutting floor - Shield Stun is only good in PVP. Against bosses, stun does not work, so why have it? All the other talents focus more on damage. The damage is not high enough to take the place of cleave, shield slap, charge or pound so not worth using.

Battle
1. Cleave - Surprisingly, this one often gets forgotten. Three points here and you can maintain aggro on three aggressors at once with a successful swift strike. A life saver for the party
2. Ruthless - Since you have to build to the second level in battle, might as well get extra crit.
3. Fence - Same as sidestep.
4. Lacerate - This is a sneaky little talent. All hits land 100% of the time and do 100% max damage. If timed properly (use every 12 seconds) the tank can maintain constant damage throughout the fight. This helps maintain aggro.
