Military Monk & Hybrid Talent Specs

Divine/Phoenix Hyrbid Spec:

This particular variation of a monk is excellent for running dungeons both as a DPS or as a Healer. It does have some limitations which are mainly the lack of Lion King Strike and Prayer of Pure Faith. This lack does mean that it would be very difficult to do Eristar's Temple and the new Saithon's Dungeon as a Healer, but should not have a significant effect on participating as a DPS.

The benefits of this spec are that you have the option to switch back and forth as your guild or team requires. In addition as a military monk which typically suffers from severe mana generation issues you have Divine Breath which allows you to manage your mana with ease, plus you provide a back up alternative for Resurrections. More importantly if the Divine Monk in your group happens to die unexpectedly or is disconnected you can quickly switch gear to be able to continue in their place until they are able to take over which could make the difference between the team completing the dungeon or wiping and having to restart the run.

Another variation of the Hyrbid Mili monk spec is shown below. This spec preserves the DPS capabilities of the monk with all of it's stun skills, but is lacking Ring of Healing and Divine Breath. This particular spec is more designed for PVP with the addition of Divine Light and Suffering to enable you to quickly replenish your HP while dueling. The main downside to the spec is the lack of Divine Breath which will limit your mana replenishment capbility, but the belief of many is that a duel should not last more than 20-40 seconds which should allow you to exhaust your mana and then replenish with a pot.
